Pumpkin Patch!

This trip to the pumpkin patch was our first of several this season. The pumpkin patch is Dadelaide’s new favorite place to be! She loved looking at all the pumpkins, running through corn mazes and riding on the hay rides. Schme loved “driving” the tractors but surprisingly Dadelaide freaked out when we tried to put her in the driver seat of a tractor, which is odd because she loves to pretend to drive the car…she always keeps us guessing!

Growing up so fast!

I can’t believe how fast she is growing up! We put on some of her new fall clothes/shoes and she just had to complete the outfit with her “packpack” and her Elmo before leaving to run errands for the day. I couldn’t help but think she looked like she was getting ready to go to school! She even opened the garage door and told me, “bye bye mommy”. Oh she is so stinkin’ cute! She has been counting to 10 for about a month now and just as of 2 weeks ago can count to 14! When she gets to 14 she just says, “14, 14, 14, 14, and 14!!!” Then she says “yay!!!!” and claps her hands. She learned the repetition of the “14″ from her sweet little cousin, neither one of them can make it to 15. LOL. So adorable. She can also sing her ABC’s from start to finish, that started about 2 weeks ago as well. She slurs together E and F and of course LMNO as well. :) I can’t get her to sing it on video though! So sad.

Dadelaide’s Boo Boo

Poor little Dadelaide had a bad accident yesterday involving the garage door and the garage steps. :( She was standing on the threshold of the steps with the door open while mommy was taking out the garbage and a strong gust of wind blew the door shut while she was standing there! It knocked her down 3 wood steps. It was so scary and so sad. One of her teeth bit very deep into the upper left side of her upper lip, that’s why that side is so swollen. She had 3 minor cuts on the inside of her bottom lip and the skin was scraped off on two small spots above her upper lip.

These pics were taken after her nap, the wound opened while she was sleeping and bled in her bed. :( Her lip is still swollen and badly bruised today. Dadelaide keeps telling us, “mommy, Dadelaide’s lip hurts…Dadelaide fall down in garage” it’s so super cute. Whenever she says it hurts she then tells us she needs medicine so we put some medicine on the external cuts and she tells us, “it’s all better now”. Such an angel. We’re grateful it wasn’t worse.

2nd Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday Dadelaide!!! We woke her up with a birthday balloon; she was beyond excited. :)

Her birthday breakfast was one of her favorites, chocolate chip waffles! Even on her birthday she was mommy’s little helper in the kitchen. In this picture she was rolling her eyes at me because I had just told her for like the 10th time to be careful while stirring the egg. LOL.

Here she is oooohhhing and aawwwwing over the chocolate chips in the batter!

We had a little party with some friends for her in the evening. Here’s the cake/cupcakes mommy had a friend make, they turned out SO cute!

This is the reaction we got when giving her a gift to open…she can be such a strange child sometimes :) she didn’t want anything to do with the gifts until…

Aunt ‘B’ and Andrew gave her a butterfinger, all better now!

Finally happy enough to play with the tissue paper, YAY!

Once she decided gifts were OK, she LOVED everything she got! New clothes, dolls, a blanky, a book, and even a new trike! She didn’t know what to do with everything.

So the only problem with the Elmo cake was that she thought it really was Elmo…so when I lit the candle…you can see her reaction in the picture, she thought we were hurting Elmo. Poor baby, I never knew birthday’s could be so traumatic. She wouldn’t let the cake near her to blow out the candle and would not eat a piece of Elmo either. And she loves cake…so sad.

As the night was winding down she just wanted daddy to hold her, along with all her balloons and her new dolls and pooh. They even had to go to bed with her :) , not the balloons, just the dolls.

Possibly the cutest picture of the night! Our sweet little snugglebug; can’t believe she’s 2 already! I wish I could say the night ended happy and she had a good nights rest, but she spent the night throwing up. She caught a bug from daddy. No wonder she had a rough party. :( We spent the night changing clothes, sheets, and giving baths over and over again. Happy 2nd Birthday Dadelaide. :-P

Summer Vacation

Just a few of the pictures from our wonderful summer vacation in Oregon. These were taken at the coast. Dadelaide normally hates sand; especially when it gets in her sandals at the park so we weren’t sure how she would react at the beach…she was hesitant at first but fell quickly in love with the feeling of sand between her toes…on her face…in her ears…up her nose…in her diaper! LOL. She was literally rolling in the sand she loved it so much (part of that might be because it was so warm). It was awesome to see her enjoying the beach so much.

Playing with Daddy

Dadelaide loves doing the “airplane” with mommy and daddy, she puts her arms out so she can fly!!!! She has also been really good lately about telling me when her diaper is poopy and she also relates everybody’s bottom to poopoo so in these last few pics she is looking for poopoo in daddy’s pants and pointing at his bottom while saying, “poopoo”! LOL. She is hilarious.

Easter

I’m finally getting the Easter pics up! Dadelaide had so much fun this year decorating eggs and playing in her Easter basket. The funnest part was that cousin Schme got to join us for decorating and Easter dinner! Yay! Those two girls are too cute together!

SNOW

Here it is, the last BIG snow of the season on April 1st. We had more snow over Easter weekend but it wasn’t as significant. So, since it was most likely the last chance the girls would have to play in snow until next winter we had to send them outside! They had so much fun together. My personal favorite of the pics is of them kissing! They are so cute, they love to hug and kiss each other (when they’re not fighting!) Schmeden was fearless, she was running through the snow (even though it was up to her knees), picking up snowballs and throwing them at Dadelaide. :) Dadelaide is a little more cautious when it comes to snow, she loves playing in it but when it’s deep, she gets…stuck…at one point she walked into a real deep spot and couldn’t move any further and she just fell face first in the snow! She was almost completely buried!!! She just laid there until I got to her to save her. It was pretty funny. One of the pics below shows Dadelaide reaching her arms outward, that’s because she was stuck and wanted me to pick her up. :) And of course, you will see that she had her binkie in her hand…yes, even in the snow…she LOVES the binkie and blankie, she carries them all over the house, they provide much comfort. :)

Just a silly face…

I just had to post this picture because little schmeden is so dang adorable and hilarious looking in this picture! After I caught this shot we all passed the camera around laughing at it for several minutes. She cracks us up. :)

Clothes!

Here’s the munchkin trying on some new clothes that her Aunt Jamie sent her. She just had to put the shorts and skirt on right over the top of her pants! She wore all 3 layers for the rest of the day, I tried taking the extra clothes off at one point but she cried and said, “NO”, so we just left them on until bedtime. :) So, here are some pictures of her playing. She is showing me her belly button in the first pic, she loves to show everyone her belly button, especially when she is at church in her nice dresses. :-P
